Tax in Lieu of Services for Elderly Care Retirement Homes: Instead of property taxes, implement a tax in lieu of services for newly constructed elderly care retirement homes, ensuring that necessary services are provided while alleviating financial burdens on developers.

Despite having committees for transit, traffic, and housing, there's a glaring absence in addressing homelessness.

I propose that **all** financial incentives provided by the Ontario Government for new home construction be redirected to tackle and alleviate the Homelessness Crisis in Mississauga over the next 8 years. This represents untapped resources, and I'm confident that by rallying developers alongside government support, significant funding can be secured, and it will cost the City and the residents nothing!!!!

Without safeguarding the most vulnerable members of our community, our words ring hollow. It's time for action, now more than ever.

By implementing these housing strategies, Mississauga can work towards addressing housing affordability, promoting inclusivity, and meeting the diverse housing needs of its residents, while also incentivizing responsible development and supporting the city's aging population.
